Fishing gates some quests and food variety.

Requirements

• Farming mastery at least level 1 (check your character sheet).
• Correct rod for the spot; upgrade when bigger fish refuse to bite.

Bait

Some pond fish (roach, gudgeon, crucian) work without bait early; other spots need bait matching local species.

Reel minigame

1. Wait for the bite (yellow exclamation).
2. Hold reel to pull the fish in.
3. When the mark fades, tap instead of holding so distance stays manageable.
4. Release while the fish fights—sustained tension turns the line red and snaps it.

After fishing

Cook or trade fish for energy; insanity from other jobs still matters—see sanity.
